History
Metal recycling Utrecht BV has beenn in production for 33 years, and was established by Sir G. van Doorn. It was founded on the Anthoniedijk in Utrecht with a small fork truck and hangar with a surface area of approximately 300 square meters. The name was then G. van Doorn metal recycling (a family company). Soon this surface area was not sufficient anymore to deal with the amount of business and therefore another building was obtained with a surface area of 500 square meters. In addition, a huller and a cutting machine were obtained to treat the metal. Through the course of the years the company at the Anthoniedijk grew further. At a certain moment due to a lack of space, there could be no further growth. Then we looked for a new location in Utrecht where the company could grow further. This became the Groenewoudsedijk where we moved to in 2002.
So nowadays, we are stationed on the Groenewoudsedijk and the company has remained a family business. The company now has an outside area with a surface of 4000 square meters and a hangar of 1600 square meters.
